Lovely hotel with very friendly staff.

The room was very small. Didn’t like the service charge that was added onto all food and beverage. I prefer to make my own decision about tipping.

Perfect location by the British museum, most comfortable bed and the room amenities were wonderful.

My room was on the third floor ,it was really quiet for a single it was a good size overall , bed was bigger than your average single bed . Good size bathroom all in all very nice

Everything! From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, being at The Montague was like being in a cosy cocoon or a calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle of London. The staff are engaged and attentive, giving one the feeling that their career choice is a vocation rather than just a job! There are plenty of places to sit and relax. The hot chocolate station was a big hit with my granddaughter! The breakfast is great with buffet and a la carte options. We also had Afternoon Tea, and dinner on one evening. The food and service was absolutely spot on. I am looking forward to a return visit!

Excellent breakfast, attentive staff

I have not stayed in this exact location before. I have been a fan of hotels located in Mayfair or close to Harrods. I decided to have a change. No regrets. One reason is that arrived by train at Euston Station and the hotel is an easy 12-minute walk even with large suitcase. It is located in a street of typical Regency styled houses and is easy to miss because there is no large neon advertising sign in front of the hotel. This reflects the hotel. Effective and efficient service with a smile from room service to the bar. Bar was kept open for those late-night drinkers without any hint from the staff that it is time to go to bed. British museum and convent Garden are an easy 5 and 12 minute walk respectively. Tottenham court road is your nearest tube station. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs with food within 15 minutes of the hotel so there is no need to jump into a taxi. Bed was very comfortable with a turn down service in the evening. I was pleased that cups and saucers were provided together with a kettle so you could make coffee or tea for yourself. There was an area where could relax and read the paper. An inner courtyard reflected the location and added to the character of this particular hotel. A doorman was always on watch to help new arrivals with their luggage. I have stayed in a number of London Hotels over the years. I have now discovered a new one that I happy to place at the top of my list to stay at next time i visit London.

For once i cannot find any negatives about this hotel. Only negative is that the door insulation could be better. Ie the very large space under the door meant that corridor noise was easily heard in the room. I understand why the shower is over a large bath. Yes sometimes people do take bathes but i prefer the bath being taken out and being replace by a large shower space. My preference but if you have a baby the bath is a must.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was fine. Wall clock, telescopic lit mirror, tissues, plenty of plugs, large white fluffy towels, robes, comfortable bed, turndown service with chocolates, plenty of mirrors, large tv.

bedroom and bathroom were on the small side for me, although wife was happy. Room safe was on the floor, which meant lying down to access. Creaking from floorboards from room above was slight distraction.

The Montague's staff is super. Friendly and helpful in every way. The hotel has very good AC - rare in London. Nice big flat-screen TV. A generous breakfast with many options.

Room was quite small. The only place to hang/store clothes was a musty old armoire that made my clothes smell. Only room for one luggage rack. The carpet was old and stained. The bathroom was very small and it was difficult to take a shower without flooding the floor.

Really enjoy my stats at RC hotels. It’s like a big family, relaxed, friendly, enjoyable and great hotels. The gardens are calm place in the center in busy London to enjoy some lunch

There was a lot of effort by the Hotel to make it an “interesting “ place the food was super breakfast was very well put together not greasy and kept fresh on the buffet style

I’m picking but the room above was very load when they were moving around but I think the building being of an age was the source of the issue realy

The service was outstanding. The helpfulness and knowledge of the concierge was the particular highlight.We stayed to celebrate a particular birthday. I think I will have to have more of them.

The scones were a little small and hard. Have a good recipe using lemonade I could share. The setting for the scones, in their outside room and service were beyond reproach.

A comfortable hotel with excellent staff in a very good location. We've stayed at the Montague before and have enjoyed it again this time. We will most likely come back when in London next time.

There was not one thing to dislike. They run the hotel to perfection.

The Hotel is a lovely building well kept and great facilities. The staff are attentive polite and great at their jobs, we felt welcome and looked after the whole time we were there.

Original allocated room was dark and dingy, but we were given an alternative which was bright and comfortable King room on the small side but I suppose that’s London.

Beautifully appointed rooms and common areas. Sumptuous comfort. Friendly, capable staff. Excellent breakfast. Lovely additional touches - like cookies and fruit in the room. Overall a very classy and supremely comfortable place to stay in London.
